1.8.2024 | The guidelines for handling tasks in the Emergency Response Centre Agency’s emergency medical services were revised at the end of November 2023. The change is reflected in the number of tasks assigned to emergency medical care and in the priority distribution.

3.12.2024 | Anniina Takala, the ERC Operator of the Year, will celebrate the Finnish Independence Day at the Presidential Palace. She feels that the invitation honours the whole profession.

23.7.2024 | Congestion in health care and social services has recently been in the news frequently, and the issue is also affecting emergency and prehospital care. Non-urgent tasks are also increasingly assigned to prehospital emergency care services, and various multi-professional approaches have been developed around Finland to handle these assignments.

28.1.2025 | Teaching children how to use the emergency number correctly is a safety action. It is important to talk to children about identifying emergencies and encourage them to report an emergency.

28.3.2025 | Nödcentralsverkets instruktion för behandling av uppdrag inom akutvården förnyades i slutet av november 2023. Reformen syns i mängden uppdrag och i prioritetsfördelningen inom akutvården.

6.6.2025 | Examensfesten för den tvåspråkiga nödcentraloperatörkursen 44 firades på Räddningsinstitutet fredagen den 6 juni 2025. Slutförandet av kursen stärker Nödcentralsverkets svenskspråkiga servicenivå.

10.9.2024 | Thousands of emergency calls are made to the Emergency Response Centres every year involving cases of self-harm or attempted suicide. The purpose of the Suicide Prevention Day is to inform people that help is available and that it's safe to talk about suicide.

23.6.2025 | Med tanke på hjälpen är den viktigaste saken i ett nödsamtal att man vet sin position för att hjälparna hittar fram så fort som möjligt. Tekniken och särskilt appen 112 Suomi är bra hjälpmedel för detta.

9.6.2024 | The Emergency Response Centre Administration is participating in an EU project that improves the visibility of the missing children help system. A key theme of the project is teaching children how to correctly use the emergency number.

26.5.2025 | Under det kommande veckoslutet firar ungdomar välförtjänt att läsåret slutar och sommarlovet börjar. På nödlinjen syns skolavslutningshelgen vanligen genom större brådska än under ett vanligt sommarveckoslut.

21.7.2025 | Det vackra vädret har fått människor att röra på sig. Värmen märks också i antalet nödsamtal, och ibland kan väntetiderna till nödnumret vara något längre än normalt. Om det tillfälligt är kö på nödlinjen ska du inte lägga på, utan vänta kvar på linjen tills en operatör blir ledig.

15.3.2024 | The Emergency Response Centre Agency’s financial statements for 2023 are complete. Last year, the number of employee absences due to illness fell, new ERC operators were recruited, and employee satisfaction increased.

7.8.2024 | Children are excellent emergency callers as they are honest; although you never want them to face an emergency. It is important, however, that children are taught the correct use of the emergency number, just as adults are.

25.9.2023 | In the event that an underage child becomes missing, it is important to inform the responsible authorities quickly. For this purpose, assistance is available from a common European hotline. In Finland, the hotline can be used for sharing tips about missing children. In emergencies, the number to call is 112.

18.12.2024 | Nödcentralsoperatörerna som arbetar dygnet runt även under julhelgen får se att julen inte innebär glädje för alla. Nödsituationer och behovet av hjälp upphör inte ens vid jul.
