Accessibility statement of the 112.fi website

Accessibility means that as many different people as possible can use online services as easily as possible. Our aim for the accessibility of the 112.fi website is level AA of the WCAG 2.1 standard.

The uutispalvelu.112.fi and ekstranet.112.fi services are subsites of the website. This statement also applies to services that require logging in. The languages of the uutispalvelu.112.fi service are Finnish and Swedish, while the extranet.112.fi service is produced in Finnish.

This accessibility statement applies to 112.fi and was prepared on 29 September 2020 and last updated on 29 September 2029. The service is subject to the Finnish Act on the Provision of Digital Services, which stipulates that the websites of government agencies must be accessible to individuals with various disabilities or impairments.

We have assessed the accessibility of the 112.fi website with an external reviewer and received the report of the assessment on 26 August 2021.

Non-accessible content

Social media wall, third-party service:

  • contrast, texts in light grey
  • Closing the module moves focus to the top of the page
  • Button texts are in English, e.g. “View on Twitter”
  • The scroll buttons at the bottom of the module cannot be accessed by keyboard users
  • The language of multilingual highlighted content is not defined
  • In mobile view, the module shows some icon buttons which are not displayed in desktop view.
  • The text alternatives to the arrow buttons are only “Previous” and “Next”

Commitment to improving the accessibility of digital services

We are committed to improving accessibility.

The website will be inspect to the next external accessibility assessment in 2023. The previous accessibility assessment was carried out on 26.8.2022 and its corrections have been made by 8.9.2022.
The website server is maintained by Valtori and the website has been implemented on the state’s joint publishing platform. The accessibility of the platform is constantly being improved in development work.
