Emergency warning transmission system to be tested on 5 June

The official emergency warning transmission system is tested regularly. The purpose of the test is to test the functioning of systems.

The official emergency warning transmission system will be tested on Friday 5 June around midday. The purpose of the test is to test the functioning of the emergency warning system on television and in the 112 Suomi mobile application.

The emergency warning transmission system is tested each year in February, June and October. The Emergency Response Centre Agency, Yleisradio Oy and Digita Oy also carry out technical tests on a monthly basis.

The authorities will be monitoring the success of the test.
