15.4.2026 | You can now find instructions on what to do in the event of an air hazard in the 112 Suomi app. Emergency warnings will also be transmitted to the app based on the phone’s location data.

The biggest benefit of the app is that it makes it quicker to get help to the scene of an emergency. The caller’s exact location is automatically relayed to the ERC, which speeds up emergency call handling.

You can call the European emergency number 112 via the app, in which case the caller’s location data is transmitted to the local emergency response centre. With the help of the PEMEA architecture, European 112 applications send location data to the emergency services of the EU country from which the call is made.

24.6.2025 | Appen 112 Suomi har med åren vuxit till en servicehelhet för säkerheten. Dess tjänster hjälper vid olika nöd- och problemsituationer såväl under normala förhållanden som vid störningar och undantagsförhållanden.

För att positionera nödsamtal har man utvecklat flera metoder som är till hjälp särskilt i nödsituationer på ställen som saknar gatuadress. I en nödsituation är det viktigast att veta koordinaterna för händelseplatsen, så att de hjälpande myndigheterna hittar fram så snabbt som möjligt.
